Rev the engines with your goblin crew, steal some sweet new orc wheels and put the brakes on the Eastern Bloc’s slimiest necromancer.
SLAV BORG is a stand-alone game that’s also compatible with MORK BORK and other OSRs. And you know what this means: tons of new tables, monsters, NPCs, and various additional components you can use to craft a playstyle and narrative that best suit your greedy spirit.

SLAV BORG on its way to print!

OK, so SLAV BORG is going to print this week! Finally, after months and months of work, unfortunate accidents, and happy playtesting, we can step on the final stretch of the road.
Our vision was to provide You with a unique experience, not only gameplay-wise but also when it comes to art, so it took a little longer than we expected.
Each chapter is in a different style, inspired either by the illuminated manuscripts of old, or street styles of the XXth Century. There is a healthy dose of Y2K vibes as well, referencing the times of our adolescence. Of course, style-over-everything is an attitude that we took from MÖRK BORG, but we put our spin on this, leaving the legendary yellow and black color scheme behind.
Layout and design were done by Kasia Konachowicz, a graphic designer connected to the Polish underground electronic music scene for years. She's also behind some of the illustrations, too. Her idea was to find mutual areas between old-school manuscripts and modern esthetical tropes, no matter how hard it can be. The effect is refreshing fusions between distant and often alien elements coming together under the umbrella of themes important to the lore of the game.
Below You will find a map of the realm of Zgol, drawn by Bartosz Zaskorski. He's an artist and lecturer, a staple in the Polish music and art scene. He illustrated comics and games, most of them You will find under the Hollow Press label. His vision of Zgol and its denizens is bleak and raw and we absolutely love it! The most stunning depictions of the NPCs in the book are his, as well as the bestiary, illustrated by grim portraits of the enemies.
Till the next time - hopefully with the pictures of the printed book!

Cześć Backers!
We hope you're all doing great and buzzing for SLAV BORG just like us. We've been burning the midnight oil to get this game ready for you. In our last update, we thought we were just about there. But, you know what they say about the best-laid plans, right? Turns out, working on the layout is taking a bit longer than we thought. But hey, we're almost there!
The last bit of the book is all that's left and we should be ready for the test print soon. We're hoping to send it off to the printing house by the end of December, and fingers crossed, you should have it in your hands by early January.
Remember we mentioned a new artist joining our team a couple of updates ago? Well, Bartosz Zaskórski, the comic book artist, video game creator, and lecturer, has just dropped off a bunch of new NPCs for us. Check out these "beauties"!

Cześć Backers!
We trust this update finds you in good spirits and just as thrilled as we are about the advancements on SLAV BORG.
For the last couple of weeks, we have been thoroughly testing the game in the different teams and scenarios, and we can confidently say that the game is ready. One of our most exhilarating playtest sessions took place at the Bolter Shop in Wrocław - a big shout-out to everyone who joined us in exploring the Realm of Zgol! Here are some photos from this event by @gingerhead.cam

A huge thank you to everyone who gave a spin to the Wheelz module we shared in the last update. Your feedback, mixed with our playtesting, helped us to level up one of the key systems in the game. It's now as thrilling as a high-speed, hard metal race. You guys are awesome!
One of the NPC's, Trupiciel
We would also like to apologize for a little hiccup in our timeline. You know how it goes with creative projects - they sometimes like to play hardball with schedules. We totally get that you're pumped for the game (we are too!) and we're working our socks off to deliver it to you as soon as possible.
Zazo The Accelerator
As we hit the home stretch, our graphics team is burning the midnight oil to get the book ready for print by October's end. In the meantime, here are some latest creations from them, which will give you a snapshot of what's to come.
NPC - Unta
Big thanks again for sticking with us and being patient. We're super excited for you to check out what we've been constructing for you. We mean it. We've been actually building - peep the pics of the Zgol cityscape we've crafted.
Best,

Firstly, we're thrilled to announce that our lead designer is steadily recovering from his accident and getting back in shape. Your well-wishes have warmed Pawel's heart, which positively influenced his recovery - science backs this up! We even managed to capture a photo of his triumphant return!
Pawel in a seated position, that's new!
Even though Paweł has been mostly bedridden, we're happy to report that the majority of the book's content is now finished. We're now approaching the last stretch before we start the final editing.
In the coming week, we will be sharing the race rules with our backers for you to check out and give us your feedback. We're looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Another important update - we've welcomed a new illustrator, Bartosz Zaskórski, to our team. We're confident that his imaginative prowess will open up new dimensions in the SLAV BORG universe. Don't forget to check out his impressive portfolio: https://www.instagram.com/bartoszzaskorski/
That's not all (as we said, we haven't rested in recent times) we introduce you a Tinkerer class and one of the NPC's. Lore time!
Tinkerers are essential workers in the Realm of Zgol. They repair the wheels, upgrade them and even care for them during the races, creating mobile pit stops. They’re also usually skilled in other things, making them versatile and valuable members of every crew. This is the support class that often plays the main role.
Zoska Matoska is a veteran of subcultural wars, inspired by people who will always try to organize the community, even if the circumstances are unfavorable. This NPC is crucial in unraveling an essential part of the Necromancer’s plot. Plus, she runs the club where crews can unwind, listen to some interesting local bands, and gulp down gobawful beer.
Final notice - we are doing our best to dispatch the book to the printers by the first weeks of October. We're drawing closer to the finish line, and we're optimistic that by the end of this tear, you'll be able to enjoy playing SLAV BORG.
Keep an eye out for more updates, and as always, we're immensely grateful for your continued support!
